OUR STORY

About:​

CNADA (Custer Network Against Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault) is a private, not-for-profit corporation that has been serving those victimized by domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking since 1996. We serve five Eastern Montana counties which include Custer, Rosebud, Treasure, Garfield, and Powder River counties. Staff and volunteers are available 24-hours a day to respond to crises and assist with follow-up as needed. We are funded through donations and also through grants from DPHHS and MBCC.

Mission Statement:

The Custer Network Against Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault operates under the premise that individuals are entitled to a safe and secure environment, free from violence and the fear of violence. It is our belief that societal conditions that allow abuse and violence to exist will only be changed by education, awareness and ultimately the empowerment of the victims and the communities in which they live. Therefore, it is our mission to provide services that empower victims of violent and abusive behavior and to provide education to empower our community the change these conditions. 

Our Purpose:

  • To provide networking and support to people in our rural area who are suffering from domestic and sexual violence. 
  • To encourage awareness and understanding of domestic and sexual violence through public education. 
  • To provide training and supervision of volunteer advocates and peer counselors whose focus us one of support to individuals suffering from violence.
  • To provide referrals to other service providers.
  • To provide emergency services to people in crisis situations.
